The McLain House, site of the surrender meeting
The Appomattox Court House site was far better than I anticipated. The restored Village has been very well done in both buildings and exhibit presentations. The docents and NPS Rangers were outstanding. I would recommend this stop as a must for anyone in this area who is interested in Civil War or just general history.
