After a substantial down pour last night the skies parted  revealing a beautiful  fall morning in the Capital city. There was a brisk cool breeze blowing and the humidity had been driven out of the area.

Ken and Steve took off to get the Ford truck  (The Ox) serviced at a local dealership. Windy and I took off on a walk around the RV park, our usual morning hike. I got a little daring and let her off the leash most of the time. I know it’s a RV Resort felony but she is on vacation too!  Sure was a joy to see her chasing all the squirrels.

I ran into another camper who had his two golden doodles off leash too. Nice to run into a fellow  dog  freedom fighter!

I find it hard to call this camping. After spending the morning doing laundry and catching up on a few trailer adjustments I sat outside and began reading an excellent book called Rebel Yell by S. C. Gwynne about Stonewall Jackson. Laura was nice enough to bring me a little snack. The wind has been blowing, a bit chilly. However as soon as the breeze drops down the sun warms you right away. I find it so much more enjoyable than the last week!
