What A Difference A Day Makes

We woke up today to 65 degree weather.  the humidity is still high and it feels clammy but it’s so much more bearable. In fact it’s a little cold and sweaters are the uniform of the day.

Windy and Dick got out on an early walk and explored the racetrack and the vendors before they were open or setting up. This place is huge!

Windy got a good workout going up and down the parking areas and exploring the RV lots right next to the race track.

Because we were a day early, we had a list of things to pick up and some more food to buy. Went to the Home Depot and met a very nice and helpful sales associate.

We found out that wine and liquor are only available at certain select spots . Fortunately we have a big box of wine and Dick has some of his Glenlivet left!

We came home and Dick and I took a bike ride around the track. We took our picture in front of Miles the Monster – a big concrete statue with a full size car in the monster’s grip.

It should be a mad house tomorrow!  There are already tons of people here for the qualifying and other practice events.  We’re on our way now to the BBQ bash – one of the reasons we wanted to get here by Friday.
